Born in Nassau, Bahamas, Kristopher Williams is a young flutist and composer. Currently, he is pursuing his Master's of Music in flute performance at McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montréal, Québéc, where he studies with Albert Brouwer and traverso with Mika Putterman. He obtained his Bachelor of Music while studying with flute with Karin Aurell at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, earning him the J.E.A Crake Performance Award in Music. There, Kristopher also studied composition, arranging and orchestration with Dr. Kevin Morse.
Kristopher is the winner of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2021. He has also performed as a soloist with the Bahamas National Symphony Orchestra of which he has been a member since 2022. He has participated in masterclasses with flutists such as François Lazarevitch, Joanna G'froerer, Denis Bluteau and Susan Hoeppner.
Kristopher’s compositions are inspired by the sounds of the Caribbean, video games and anime. His piece “Island Sonata” for clarinet and piano, was commissioned, premiered and recorded by Dr. Alexandra Chea as a part of her doctoral recording project, and is now available on major streaming platforms.
He worked as a Festival Associate at the Festival International de Musique Saint-George in 2023 and since 2024, works as Associate Project Manager at ArtistWorld.
